Trophy Water 2010 so far… May 31, 2010
Sunset at the Gabions.
Mike with a good fish from an odd place on a bright sunny day at about noon.
Said fish from above.
Bill on a nice fish.
Bill’s fish from the above pic. The truly impressive story about this fish is that it was caught on a dry and while that is no great feat the impressive part is that Bill did it. I think I’ve seen him genuinely fish a hatch once in the past 3-4 years. The really great part of this story is that it was on a “stoned hopper” We had to create stone flies with markers and a few oddball hopper patterns that somehow found thier way aboard. For the record, we weren’t stoned, the hopper was. Even a blind streamer fisherman finds a nut now and again.
Stoning the hoppers.
Furry stump.
Bright skies rule the Trophy Water this year. It needs rain.
