Topic: Just got a bunch of fur!

I got the full pelts I had mentioned, at least some of them. I need to go through the bag when I get home. Its all tanned too.

Here's the list so far:

Black bear, about half a bear (I think) from the ass end. Pretty thick but some nice long hairs. Might be great for spinning and tying heads.
Red fox, full pelt. Really soft and waiting to be zonked, dyed, etc.
Mink, full pelt.
Assortment of deer fur from early to late season stuff.
Might be some bobcat and coyote too.

Lets do some experiments with dyes and come up with some new patterns with this stuff.

Got any Beaver?   We all need beaver.   There are a lot of people who still use Kool-Aid as dye.:P

I have a bunch of dye.  The best stuff to use on fur is acid dye.  http://prochemicalanddye.com/store/home.php?cat=395.  This link has a lot of great colors, although the screen colors are a little off from what you get.  I recomend buying their sample die for $10 if you are going to use them.  These are the dyes that I use to dye my stuff and it works really well.  Doesn't take much to get a good dye bath.  BTW  weren't you suppose to give me some of that bear?   I'll take some of the red fox as well big_smile.  I use it to tie foxee basturds.
